online comic review. Hark! A Vagrant

This week I’ll be reviewing the mainly historical comic Hark! A Vagrant

The comic is written by a museum worker (I believe) Kate Beaton. As a whole this comic has little in the way of overarching story lines (although some do pop up from time to time), rather she treats us to funny takes upon historical figures and events. Most of the figures/events used are easy to access even with no prior knowledge to their occurance, mainly in part to the posts she does with each new comic to keep them enjoyable. Her art style is very expressive in terms of emotions and actions being done, as well as fun to look at. No color has been used in the comic, which works just fine with her style. All in all I would recommend this comic for the humor, but also the freshness of historical comics.
